Choose a PDF or table image

Use one PDF up to 35 pages, or up to 20 JPG / PNG / WebP images. Native PDF text is used first; scanned pages can fall back to OCR.

Your source file stays in this browser.
01

Extraction

Start with native positioned text. OCR is used when scanned pages have no useful text layer.

02

Excel formatting

Keep cell values editable and choose how tables become workbook sheets.

Convert PDF tables to Excel without retyping

PDF documents normally store text at fixed coordinates rather than as spreadsheet rows and columns. UVs Tool Hub groups positioned text into rows, looks for repeated column boundaries and gives you an editable table before it creates the Excel workbook.

Scanned PDF to Excel with OCR fallback

If a page is a scan or photo, the tool can render that page and use OCR to recover word positions before table detection. This is useful for invoices, statements, price lists, schedules and printed reports. OCR is not perfect, so totals and account numbers should always be reviewed.

Edit cells before download

Detected tables are shown as editable cells. You can rename tables, add or remove rows and columns, mark the first row as a header, draw a specific source-page region, and choose whether Excel gets one worksheet per table, one per page or one combined worksheet.

Keep spreadsheet values useful

Plain numbers, percentages, unambiguous dates and common currency values can be written as typed Excel cells rather than flat text. Decimal, thousands-separator and date-order controls reduce accidental conversions, while ambiguous values can remain text for review.

Repair difficult table layouts before export

If a borderless table is divided into the wrong number of columns, choose the expected column count and re-detect it. Continued tables on consecutive pages can also be joined when their column count and header structure match, with repeated headers removed.

Frequently asked questions

Is PDF to Excel free?

Yes. The included table extraction, OCR fallback, editing and XLSX/CSV exports are free without signup.

Can it convert scanned PDFs to Excel?

Yes. When a page has no useful selectable text, OCR can recover positioned words and the same table detector is then used. Review OCR results carefully because recognition errors are possible.

Does it preserve every PDF table perfectly?

No converter can infer every table perfectly because PDFs do not consistently store row, column or merged-cell structure. This tool exposes the detected cells for correction before export.

Are my files uploaded?

The table-extraction workflow runs in the browser. OCR engine and language data load when needed, but this tool does not require a paid document-conversion API.

Can I select only one table?

Yes. After extraction, draw a rectangle over a table in the source preview and extract that region as a separate editable table.
