ONE IMAGE. A CONNECTED STORY.

Image Splitter
& Carousel Maker

Make every piece fit. Turn a panorama into a swipeable story or split an image into a precise grid, with full control over the final files.

YOUR WORKSPACE

From one image to many.

01 / Choose your image

Drop or paste one image, or choose a file below.

Still images only. Up to 12 MP and 8,192 px per side.

No image selected.

02 / Shape your pieces

Zero keeps every pixel exactly once. Adding 10 px per side repeats 20 px between neighbors. Maximum 30 pieces.

03 / Choose your output

Normal order is left to right, then top to bottom. Reverse numbering changes names only. JPEG always uses the background color.

A FEW WAYS TO MAKE MORE OF ONE IMAGE

Precise cuts. More possibilities.

01 / A SWIPEABLE STORY

Let the view continue.

Turn a wide design or panorama into equal-size slides. Fit the full image or crop to fill, then position the part that matters.

02 / EVERY PIXEL ACCOUNTED FOR

Build an exact grid.

Split original pixels into rows and columns with no resizing. Odd dimensions are divided fairly, with no missing lines or duplicated edges at zero overlap.

03 / READY FOR THE NEXT STEP

Save a complete set.

Download numbered PNG, JPEG or WebP pieces individually or together. Add overlap when your stitching or print workflow needs extra edge pixels.

Prepare your image with Crop Image, combine designs with Photo Collage & Image Combine, or add credit with Batch Image Watermark.

Frequently asked questions

How does the image splitter keep every pixel?

Native grid and strip modes use integer boundaries across the original browser-decoded image. With zero overlap, every pixel belongs to exactly one piece. If a dimension is not evenly divisible, pieces can differ by one pixel. PNG is recommended for lossless decoded pixels; JPEG and WebP can change pixels.

What is the difference between a grid and a carousel?

A native grid or strip cuts the image without resizing. Carousel mode fits the whole image into one continuous horizontal canvas, then exports equally sized slides. Fit whole image adds empty space as needed; Fill and crop covers the full canvas and crops the excess. Position controls place the image within that canvas.

How does overlap work?

In native modes, overlap adds the selected number of source pixels to each internal side of a piece, clipped at the outside image border. Adjacent pieces therefore repeat twice that number of pixels. Overlap changes exported sizes and is intended for stitching or print preparation, not seamless carousel posting. Set it to zero for an exact partition.

Can I use the pieces for social media?

Yes. Export numbered square, portrait, landscape or custom slides and upload them in order. The presets are image dimensions, not a guarantee of platform support. Platforms may crop, resize, recompress or change profile layouts. Check the current upload preview. This tool does not publish or schedule posts.

Which images and sizes are supported?

Use one still PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 20 MiB, 12 million pixels and 8,192 pixels per side. Native layouts allow up to 10 rows, 10 columns and 30 total pieces. Carousels allow 2–20 slides, with each dimension up to 4,096 pixels. Total exported pixels are limited to 24 million and encoded pieces to 100 MiB (ZIP up to 32 MiB; larger sets use individual downloads). Animated files, SVG, GIF, HEIC and RAW are not supported.

Are image quality, transparency and orientation preserved?

Native PNG output preserves browser-decoded pixels without resizing. Transparent PNG and WebP can remain transparent, or be flattened onto your chosen background. JPEG is always opaque. Orientation is applied during decoding and checked against available EXIF dimensions. Color profiles, high bit depth and invisible RGB values can change during browser decoding. Upscaling does not create detail.

Are my images uploaded or saved?

Image decoding, splitting and ZIP creation happen locally in your browser. This tool does not upload or automatically save your images. Download the files you need before clearing the image or closing the page. Normal website analytics and feedback services may still load.

Why can a lossy carousel have visible seams?

JPEG and lossy WebP encode each piece separately and can introduce small edge differences. Use PNG for seam-sensitive graphics. Preview guides and piece numbers are never baked into exported images. Social media compression can still alter the final result.
