Text and logo watermarks
Text watermarks are rendered at high resolution and inserted into the PDF with transparency. Because the text is rendered by the browser before it is embedded, the tool can use characters supported by fonts installed on the visitor's device rather than being limited to PDF's basic Latin standard fonts. For brand marks, an image watermark keeps the source aspect ratio and lets you choose its width as a percentage of the PDF page.
Place the watermark exactly where you need it
Choose the centre, any corner, the middle left or right, or repeat the watermark across the page. Edge positions include a margin control. Tiled mode repeats the watermark with adjustable spacing and is useful for drafts, proofs, confidential documents and sample material where a single mark could be cropped out.
Control opacity and rotation
A watermark should be noticeable without destroying readability. Lower opacity is usually best for large centred or tiled watermarks, while a small corner logo may work at a higher opacity. Rotation can be adjusted from -180° to 180°. The default diagonal angle is a practical starting point for a text watermark.
Watermark all pages or only selected pages
You can apply the watermark to every page, only odd pages, only even pages, or a custom range. Custom ranges accept combinations such as 1-3,5,8-10. This is useful when cover pages, certificates, signed pages or appendices should remain unchanged.
Preview before creating the final PDF
Live Preview is enabled by default. After a PDF is selected, changes to opacity, rotation, watermark size, colour, position, tiling and page settings automatically rebuild the preview after a short delay. The preview uses the same watermark engine as the final PDF rather than a separate CSS mock-up. A Refresh preview button remains available whenever you want to force an immediate update.
Privacy and browser processing
The source PDF and watermark image are designed to remain in your browser for this task. The tool does not require a conversion API or upload the document to UVs Tool Hub simply to add the watermark. Large PDFs still consume device memory, so keep the tab open until saving is complete.
Important limitations
Password-protected or encrypted PDFs are not intentionally bypassed. Remove protection using the document owner's authorised workflow before editing. Adding any new content changes the PDF and can invalidate digital signatures. Highly specialised PDF features should always be checked in the downloaded result before the original is deleted or distributed.
